Blue Fern Studios bloghop 8-10 February 2013

If you have come from Camilla Ekman's blog, you've come to the right place! if not, start at the Blue Fern Studios' blog HERE

Hi and welcome to my blog! I'm Eila Sandberg and you can find me in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden by the Baltic Sea with Finland and Norway as neighbours.

My pages are all lumpy and bumpy, always with flowers and many layers of paper. Soft, muted or dusty colours make my heart sing and blue, any shade of blue, is my favest colour of all. My mojo is often sparked off by feelings, scents, impressions and memories. You will not find any journalling at the front of my pages. As I often have a story to them, my ramblings are rather lengthy, so I put them at the back of my layout.

The exquisite chipboards from Blue Fern Studios make scrapping an easy breeze! they truly are gorgeous! Beautifully cut in intricate patterns and of such fantastic quality.

Have fun hopping and good luck!

Blue Fern Studios Blog Hop runs from

8 February 2013 at midnight US EST

and goes through

10 February 2013 at 11.59 p.m. US EST

Simply visit each of the blogs below, then leave a comment and become a follower if you are not one already .

There are sure to be plenty of goodies along the way!

Here is the blog list, in order:

Eila Sandberg - THAT'S ME!

{back to} Blue Fern Studios

As long as you stop at each of these blogs and leave a comment, you will be in the running for the randomly-drawn GRAND PRIZE:

bfsbloghop.jpg

Additionally, I will be giving away a little prize pack myself! Blue Fern Studios chipboards and Manor House Creations flowers.

All you have to do is to leave a comment here on my blog and become a follower if you are not already. Who knows, you might win both the BFS grand prize and my present! Anyone anywhere in the world can of course win my present.

This is what you can win from me:

1 x Manor House flowers Imagine in Blueberry
1 x Brigitte Butterfly set (074387)
1 x Tuscan Window (074752)
1 x Evening Lamp Post (074660)
1 x Seasonal Wildflowers (074394)
1 x Manor House flowers in brown/cream

Here's my first of three February pages for Blue Fern Studios. I have used the Seasonal Wildflower chipboard piece on my page. The other two pages will be revealed in my next blogpost both here and on BFS' blog on 11 February.

All the papers used on my page are from Swedish Maja Design and their collection called Vintage Summer Basics. Lovely lovely fruity but soft colours (see what I mean about dusty colours).

The Seasonal Wildflower was primed in Gesso and then misted in Tattered Angels Wheatfields and Gold before touched-up with fluid chalk in Olive Pastel, Dark Moss, Amber Clay and Yellow Ochre before I randomly applied acrylic paint in gold with my finger here and there. After the paint had dried I glued on micro beads in gold. You can see these colours better in the photo of the cluster with the big white fabric blom further down.

This is what the Blue Fern Studios Seasonal Wildflowers (074394) chipboard looks like raw;

Blue Fern Studios: Seasonal Wildflowers
 Seasonal Wildflowers (074394)

You can find it in the C'est Magnifique store HERE

Masked diamonds in Vintage Photo distress ink as well as mini bubbles in modelling paste.

Here's the photo  where you can see the green/ochre hues of the Seasonal Wildflower. A Prima resin window and metal trinket. Round figure stickers from Graphic45 mounted on pop dots. Fabric bloom and yellow crocheted mini doily from Little Birdie. All other flowers are Prima.

Made the banner from lace from my stash, double-layered with dito in canvas. The yellow twine is MME.

This photo of a birthday pressie (from internet) on the lawn made me think of how we used to have coffee and cake in my parents' garden on my mother's birthday in May. The cherry trees were always in bloom as were her flower beds, lots of birds and even butterflies coming to wish her happy birthday.

Loved making the circles in fruity colours with Gelatos from Faber Castel. Outlined them with a white gel pen from Sakura once they had dried and stamped and masked on top.

Jolly nice having you for a visit, thanks a bunch for taking the time to leave a comment! Good luck with the hopping!

I'll be back on 11 February when I'll share my other two BFS February pages.

Toodelipip! xoxo Eila

**Next stop on the hop is Erin Blegen's blog HERE **
