Now to my DT page for Meg's Garden, it is called "Summer At Last". After that, I will also share my DT layout called "Summer Girl" for the current The Color Room palette # 110.

The photo is from internet but it has all the trimmings of the carefree childhood that I remember; the old red wooden houses so typical of northern parts of Sweden and Finland. The wild meadow that has been left to grow, the bare feet and the white cotton summer dresses that I had as a little girl.

It was instant love when I saw the Forget Me Nots Fabric paper. It brought back memories of my childhood summers in Finland, a seemingly endless row of sunny days. The covers of my grandfather's mattresses had an almost identical pattern, only they were in a pale blue and white pattern

The very same day that I had been to Nat Kalbach's workshop, I went home and pulled out modelling paste, mask and an armfull of mists. This is the result, my page for TCR #110 "Summer Girl".

The photo is of my DH's youngest cousin's daughter Miss T whom many of you might have seen in several of my previous layouts. She wears a flower wreath because the photo was taken on Midsummer's Eve and that's what girls traditionally wear then. Wild flowers from the meadow and leaves. Another summer page in other words! a re-occurring theme with warmer days waiting just around the corner.

  8. Yay to a short week for you! Lovely work Eila! The top one is very clean for you but I love the slick look of it and all the fussy cutting!! The cluster you made is also superb. Love your background on the second one and the photo and how the fussy-cut blooms all around the edge mimick the wreath - great job my friend :)
