Stockholm is dressed in wonderful spring colours, the trees are sprouting delicate leaves and the scent of bird-cherry is everywhere. This is the most beautiful period before summer comes, the time between the flowering of the bird-cherry and the lilac.
Over at CSI the colours of the #19 palette are my all-time faves any category. Creating my page was pure joy and bliss, I loved every second of it. Not often that everything just falls into place with the ease that this page came together.
Michele makes the most wonderful coordinates for each palette, just look at this:
Here is my take:
All papers used are from PinkPaislee Indigo Bleu.
Lace from Jolee's new collection French General. Gesso, misting in TA chalkboard Denim and embossing in Shimmerz Jack Frost.
The dimensional buttons are from K&Co Bloomscape. I have layered the large accordion bloom on a DA chippie frame/flourish. The tiny doilies on the accordion blooms are from Leean Pearce's Chip Chop Shop on Etsy.
Misted gauze and large glitter flakes for added shimmer.
Just adore the Petaloo vines and their Penny Lane Garden Collection, have piles of them in my stash. Soooo handy to tuck in without getting bulky.
A couple of TH pen nibs and a cut-off piece of a DA chippie branch with birds.
The other K&Co Bloomscape dimensional buttons. Misted gauze in TA chalkboard Cornflower.
Fussy cutting from one of the papers. Love the optical feel to it.
And the journalling itself. It's in the form of a diary entry, something typical I would do on a day at the beach, either reading or writing letters.
You still have until midnight 17 May Swedish time to grab one of the 3 give aways I have for you.
Here's the link to my previous blog post with the info! BLOG ANNIVERSARY

ReplyDeletewow! love everything about this layout. the picture reminds me a little of the beach eric & were married on.. at certain sections.. it has this tall grass & at one point eric and i were playing in it.. hehe we were crazy on our wedding day. anywho, this color palette is soft, beautiful & would be perfect in a nursery if someone was currently designing one (hint hint:) love love the lace borders you've integrated in with the gesso.. at least that's what it looks like you've done.. gorgeous layout - i would frame this one it doesn't belong hidden in a book ~R
