The Color Room #120 and Stockholm

A very good sign of me being relaxed is when I have no clue as to what day of the week it is. Have to check the date on the computer and watch the news on telly. Another good tip is the release of The Color Room, always on a Friday morning our time.

It's the third week of our July sponsors The ScrapCake and the palette is a darling one of light green, petal pink, eggshell blue and barely beige. Have a peek!

Without further ado, here's my take;

The papers used are of course from The ScrapCake, but also a mix of Swedish Maja Design and Norwegian Vibeke Spigseth from my stash.

The pic is from our wedding back in 2000 and yes, 12 years on we have all changed. Emelie, then an awkwardly long-legged tweenie, is now a beautiful and still long-legged 23-year-old beauty with a complexion to die for.

Prima mask and modelling paste.
 #120_Puss Puss - 4
 Modelling paste and gel beads for some random texture.
 #120_Puss Puss - 5
Torn and punched paper strips, torn lace doily and some fussy cutting in the layers.

Nope, no food for imagination here - the title means KISS KISS in Swedish!

Sending you off this beautiful Friday with some photos from the Old Town of Stockholm, it is the oldest part of our city and is more than 1 200 years old.

Well, anything remotely linked to vikings sends hoards of hmm ... visitors into frenzied photo shoots and hysterical giggles ... Took a lot of coaxing and a couple of kisses to make my man put on this helmet and I can understand him. Wouldn't be seen alive in that thing!

Happy Friday to ya all!

  2. The pictures of the old part of stockholm made me nostalgic...reminds me of our trip to Innsbruck with its cobbled streets and old world charm eons ago before the kids arrived *sigh*. I love the way you mixed the random paper strips with fussy-cutting. Okay, I have learnt my first Swedish word - Puss :)

Love!!

  11. Hahaha! Love that Bengt is such a good sport wearing his Viking's helmet - that's just the kind of thing Shane would do too!! Well of course you were a most beautiful bride - just love all those blonde curls! And of course you will know and understand everything I say about teens having had your own in your life since aged 11!! Beautiful Scrap Cake mix layout. Your other papers are equally divine & all the shades of white are stunning!!
