Stockholm has woken up to cloudy skies and wet streets. Yesterday brought sunshine and happiness to me as I met up with my good scrappy friend Bente Fagerberg and her sweet daughter Beatrice who are in Stockholm over the weekend. Always such a wonderful treat seeing them. Happy 12th Birthday in advance Bea!
Warning, this is going to be a long blog post. If' you're only interested in my 2 pages, I suggest you just scroll down till you hit them! My TCR page is at the very end of this post. Thanks for your patience and time!
I am really so thrilled to tell you about my GD spot over at Evgenia Petzer's Scrap Africa. See the announcement HERE
How awesome to be asked by super talented Evgenia, wowzer!
This is the lovely sketch that is the November inspiration:
And here are some of the pages that their talented DT girls created;
First one is by Julie Tucker-Wolek
And then a page by Denise Deventer
I just say, go check out the other gorgeous DT pages!!
Here comes my take on the sketch;
Very unusual rich colours for me, don't think I've ever scrapped them before. The beautiful young lady in the photo is the daughter of our friends.
Papers are from G45 Birdsong collection, a bonanza of fussy cutting!
I made the background on water colour paper and Tattered Angels mists in: Gold, Dazzling Diamond, Sunkissed Peach, Peach Delight, Burnt Red and Ranger Butter Scotch.
Some embossing in gold too.
Thank you once again and so very much Evgenia for asking me!!
Next up is TCR # 135, a rich and opulent almost decadent palette of lush colours.

This palette altogether is a girly palette from Her Room.....Incorporate a floral pattern as your fourth choice and remember you can use any other neutral colour in addition to the palette colours. Most importantly enjoy the process. Select your papers from your stash......check some of your older papers and use them up!

Those of you who are still with me, THANK YOU!! I've finally come to the end and will only share the photos with little writing in between!
Here's my TCR # 135 called "Slumber". It's about all the seaside resorts slumbering away during winter, dreaming and waiting for the bustling summer when they come alive again for a few intensive months.
Tattered, sun-bleached awnings and deck chairs, keys to summer houses, rose trellises.
Bath huts and beach, sleeping, snow filling crevices and board walks needing painting.
Happy days filled with birdsong, scent of flowers, bold and vibrant colours.
Seaweed on wet cold sand, old treasures that nobody is looking for, tattered nets and fading roses.
Dreams of breezes and light summer dresses, just like tissue paper and lace.
Scrunched up and faded postcards sent from places of days filled with happy memories.
When the wind howls through our street on an early February morning, and the snow plows haven't done their job yet, the world is muffled. Dreaming away on the bus and the tube.
But not quite yet! I can still see apples on the trees in the park outside our kitchen window, the lawns are green and the world is full of spicy scents of baking and tea lights.
This girl is going to a party with her hubby this evening! Got some body maintenance to do before we hit the road.
Have a really good one peeps!! I'll boogie for all of you yeeehaaa!
Toodelipip! xoxox Eila
