Where Souls Blossom - canvas in Aug/Sept 2014 issue of Scrap365 Magazine

Hello hello!

I am back again after another super busy week at work, several late evenings and far too little sleep. Have been sooo looking forward to the weekend because it also marks something very unique and special;

Scrap365 Magazine has gone digital!!

 HERE  is the link where you an subscribe to the digital edition of the magz. You can get the a free trial of the first issue for a month - NO COST! how good is that!

And HERE is a link to YouTube with a fabulous teaser! Just listen to that fantastic voice of Ali Parris', she just could make voice overs for films left and right!

It's my LOVE anvas on the cover and it is also featured in the Pinspired 360 degrees article. So cool!

In the August/September issue I had another canvas featured in the Inspiration Station article - Where Souls Blossom.

It was all about misting.

This was my starting point; white and cream Prima blooms and a table full of mists!

SO many different mulberry blooms, different
shapes, different sizes, different textures. Just yummie!

Here is the misted and masked base that I used
as starting point.

And here is the result of day 1.
I continued the next day when all mists had dried.

The finished result with all embellies in place.

  2. Your complete mastery of the misting process is perfectly demonstrated with this magnificent piece. I shall miss the hard copy of Scrap365 - I loved having it next to me and leafing through all the yummy inspiration, but the most constant thing about life is change, and I guess we will adapt. :D

  5. WOW Eila how beautiful is that. I have tried misting flowers and I don't think they come out great... clearly I am doing something wrong. The colours are just wonderful and I love how you created the background. I love coming here and being inspired by you :F

  6. How fantastic Eila! What a beauty!! Is there a new DT group at S365 on FB now? I missed the discussion about the mag going digital - is it the whole mag again it just the 10 page/4 contributor supplement? Glad you were next up with my Pinspin idea!! Will see if I can get that issue free as I would love to see how you dealt with it. I saw a link to the YouTube video and watched it - it was very nice - just a great pity that there was no reference to where to purchase it and no link after all the effort of making such a professional ad...
