C'est Magnifique March GD - "After Rain" and a sneak of a give away

Hi ya!

Talk about spring feeling today! Mild mild temps of +7C although a bitter wind but people were still standing against house walls with their faces turned up against the sun just like sunflowers seeking every ray of light they can get. Take-away coffee in their hands and it was obvious to anyone that Stockholmians are starting to feel something different in the air.

Today I'm sharing the 5th and last page that I've created for my March GD spot over at C'est Magnifique.

A couple of the previous pages were mainly in orange, still a very challenging colour for me although I've warmed up to it over time.

Another two pages had more of the purple and minty green as well as softer hues of yellow/ochra with some muted blueberry blue mixed in.

This fifth and last page has purple, soft olive green, deeper green and minty teal in it.

Here it is - "After Rain";

It was the feel of the wet autumn branches in the photo combined with the delicious soft colours of the papers that set the tone for my page. An irresistible combination serving no other purpose than that of something really pleasing to my eye.

The colours of the leaves and branches made me chalk the cut-off flourishes from the chipboard Symphony Border in a deep, rich berry hue touched-up with gold acrylic paint topped by a jewel.

Symphony Border

Raindrops shimmering, hanging suspended on the verge of dropping inspired me to mist the circles and lightly touch them up in iridiscent medium.
