GDT at Polish 13@arts.pl

Good morning!

It's Saturday over here in my parts of the world and Stockholm is dressed in fluffy white. The mercury has dropped to about -5C which is kind of nice, just cold enough to make the snow crisp and not wet and soggy. It's snowing still, but now the flakes are drifting and swirling gently through the air, not chucking it down horizontally as yesterday.

DH has left for his business trip to Dhaka/Bangladesh and the household is quiet after the hustle and bustle of last minute preparations. First some chores and then back to my scrappy nook in the afternoon!

You might remember that the fabulously and awesomely talented Polish multi media artist Ayeeda aka Aida Domisiewicz sent me a generous pack of her own paper collection called Frosted Life some time ago. I am sure we will see many more designed by her in the future!

I was already creating a page with her papers, just for fun and just for me when Aida asked would I want to be her weekend GDT over at her blog 13@rts.pl. Of course I said yes!

The post has just gone live on 13@arts.pl -  HERE is the link to the announcement.

Here is the page I made - "Winter";

Papers used are:

I mounted everything on watercolour paper.

Backing paper used is the brown paper from the back of Cold Wall.

Second layer used is the teal blue paper from the back of Moon Dust

Third layer is the vertical centre strip, which is the front of Cold Wall

Cut out bricks from Cold Wall - 2

Behind the photo in addition to book pages, kraft papers, Prima packaging and a lace doily are:

Stardust - the top left pale blue square at the back used for the 3 pennants

Found in the Sky - the top right floral square at the back

Other products used on the page are:

Corrugated cardboard, Gesso and modelling paste

Prima and KaiserCraft stamps , Prima key, Prima flowers

Prima glittery vine, Prima pearl centres, Prima resin bird

Silver star and small accordion bloom from Norwegian Tilda

Prima gate mask on acetate, cut up and used in 3 places; on the far left, on the top pennant and under the floral cluster

Bubble mask from The Crafters Workshop

Iridiscent glitter, Snow texture, Stickles in Diamonds, Gold acrylic paint

Pale pink, mint green, and brown chalk

Talk about celestial yumminess!! what tempting names and so appropriate for a winters day!

With this frosty image I wave bye bye for now and wish you all a weekend by the pool/at the beach, in your garden or why not, shoveling snow from your drive way!! First of advent tomorrow and we light the first candle of four.

Off to do some Christmas shopping! Will be back on Tuesday to share my page for CSI case file # 48.
