The winners of the CSI 25-29 January 2013 bloghop will be announced over at CSI as soon as is possible after 5 p.m. US EST 31 January 2013.

For my Prima December BAP and PPP, this is where I am sharing them with you.

Have been stalking and stalking the Prima blog for ages to see them reveal the December BAP and PPP winners and features. They finally did this Wednesday evening European time and I was caught unprepared, hence this hastily put together blog post.

First of all mega mega congratulations to Ulrika Blomfelt, for her win of the BAP and to Jennifer Snyder for her win of the PPP. Amazingly talented ladies both of them!

My BAP was featured together with that of many many a dear friend's, but not my PPP this time.

I will simply post the mains and accompanying closies as all products used on both pages are more or less purely Prima.

First the BAP - "Market Day";

CSI Birthday Blog Hop 25-29 January 2013

__________________________________________________

CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration turned one this month, and we've been celebrating with fun and festivities all month long. But what's a birthday party without presents?

We are rounding out CSI's birthday celebration with a huge pile of presents! The talented and very generous CSI design team, aka the CSI Detectives, have prepared special blog posts for you this week, and all you have to do is leave a comment on participating design team members' blogs for a chance to receive a present from them! The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you'll have to receive a gift!

We also have the brand-new company Blue Fern Studios joining our blog hop! Our very own Detective Michele Singh is the designer of this company's beautiful chipboard, and we are delighted to have Blue Fern Studios join us to celebrate our birthday on the month they were introduced to the world!

The CSI Birthday Presents Blog Hop will run from January 25 - 29. Winners will be announced in our Full Disclosure (Announcements) Forum the following week. A newsletter will go out to members once this announcement is posted.

Here is a list of the blogs you will want to visit:

Anyone anywhere in the world can win my present, all you have to do is to leave a comment here on my blog!

This is what you can win: chipboards from Blue Fern Studios and blooms from Manor House Creations!

1 x Manor House Sugar & Spice flowers pink
1 x Village Sign Post (074776)
1 x Miss Tailor set (074721)
1 x Valentine Cupids (074769)
1 x Heart Set (0744417)
1 x Manor House Jubilee flowers cream

You do not have to visit each DT's blog, but the more blogs you visit the greater the chance of winning a present of course!

N.B. that I will not be posting the name of the winner of my RAK here on my blog, ALL winners will be posted over at CSI in a Full Disclosure Announcement!! which means you will have to be a CSI member to be able to read the announcement!

Now to this week's case file # 56 and the beautiful printable coordinates designed by our Michele Singh;

****
THE SCHEME (USE ALL 5 COLORS)
  • Been Raining Oolong - pale, sort of grayish-teal, taken from background - 204.221.213
  • A Cuppa Cheer -bright cherry red, taken from the umbrella - 201.66.72
  • Black Tea - black, taken from the black outlining - 18.28.29
  • White Tea - white - taken from the teabags - 255.255.255
  • Earl Gray - gray, taken from the cloud - 186.188.183
EVIDENCE (CHOOSE AT LEAST 2 ELEMENTS)

  • clouds
  • umbrella accents
  • strings
  • something that dangles or hangs
  • wet medium
  • something translucent (not transparent)
  • teacup accent
  • make a little packet that holds little bits of something (like the teabags)
  • doodle dashed lines
  • plain cardstock background
TESTIMONY (CHOOSE AT LEAST 1 ELEMENT)

  • Tea for 2 - Choose a prompt from this site that has the number 2 in it, e.g., 32, 27, 12, etc.
  • Tuck your journaling into/behind something translucent (e.g., vellum)
  • 13 hints for a happy life... (inspired by the 13 teabags)
  • Write your journaling on a tag that has string.
  • Be inspired by these Rainy Day Journal Writing prompts.
  • Inspiration Words: -- optimism, catch, share - use these as inspiration for your journaling, not just as a title
 ****
Here is my take - "Raspberry Kisses";

Evidence used are string (and twine) and something that dangles (the Prima trinket in the top cluster).

The main colours on my page are the softer hues of grayish-teal and the gray with just hints of the red and the splatter in black.

These little beauties are called either "Raspberry Grottos" or "Raspberry Kisses", some called them "Rosy Lips". They are made of a softer dough than shortbreads, not as hard but equally buttery. PERFECT company with a cup of coffee (sorry Debbi, no tea for me)! preferably shared in good company or why not in a raspberry sealed kiss with your loved one! I have to admit that I've gobbled down a couple of these on my own in the secrecy of an unlit kitchen on many an occasion in the past but been caught at it because of the tell tale crumbs ...

Have fun hopping and good luck to you all! Remember to check in at CSI for the full disclosure of all the winners!

Thanks ever so much for your visit!

CSI # 55 "Kopp, Kuppi, Cup" and Inkido GDT "Amour"

Thought 22 January was Wednesday, when it turns out it's actually Tuesday, so this blog post goes live a day earlier than planned.

Postie just brought me a goodie filled box that I am going to use for something special that will be revealed late in February mmmm.....

Got 2 pages to share with you today; CSI case file # 55 "Kopp, Kuppi, Cup" and the third page I made for my January GDT spot at Inkido's - "Amour". So off we go!

So totally LOVE the colours of this week's palette over at CSI, check them out!
And Michele's beautiful printable coordinates!

This week, as our fun surprise, we thought it would be fun to revisit our very first Case File and scraplift a member, Detective, or guest designer. Obviously, you won't be scraplifting the color scheme, but feel free to scraplift a page design or some element. What a fun blast from the past to look back at Case File No. 1! You can see the reveal here, and all of the layouts for this Case File in this album.

We're saving our biggest birthday surprise (which, if you've been paying attention to the sidebar, isn't such a surprise after all), for the last week of January, and it's going to be FUN, FUN, FUN--our Birthday Presents Blog Hop! Stay tuned for details.

My page didn't turn out at all as I had envisioned it seeing the gorgeous lime-blue-brown combo. Here's my "Kopp, Kuppi, Cup" which means cup in Swedish and Finnish.

I didn't scraplift anyone from case file # 1 but I did lift a detail from one of our current DT members; Riikka Kovasin. She  has a tut in which she mists a crumpled-up plastic bag and swipes her paper on it achieving this cool effect that I have in white on my brown backing paper.

55_Kopp Kuppi Cup - 800px main
Eventhough my page is inspired by Scrapfriends' sketch nbr 9 I have also used the layered larger central squares of paper that Riikka likes to use, as well as "doodled" circles, overlay and washi tape but still with the Eila twist.

 55_Kopp Kuppi Cup - 2
Used Tattered Angels Chalkboard mist in Banana Pudding on a couple of the circles, but the result was really disappointing. I've used it on lighter papers before and really loved the effect.

 55_Kopp Kuppi Cup - 3
My journalling is about my precious English Minton tea cups that I have been collecting for the passed 10 years. I buy a cup, saucer and side plate each time I go to the UK as they cost an arm and almost both legs. Pretty pretty they are and my goodness how well my index finger curves around that perfectly shaped ear of the cup!

When I turned 50, hubbs asked me to buy the creamer, sugar bowl and tea pot. Heavenly bliss and luxurious frivolity!

The lime paper is from Pickled Pear, the sweet blue floral one from Miss Nelly and the gray/yellow floral paper from Forget Me Not, they are all collections from KaiserCraft. All other papers are from Swedish Maja Design.

 55_Kopp Kuppi Cup - 5
Evidence used are: flowers, diamond shapes and circles.

Now to the third page that I created for my GDT spot with Inkido, I've called it "Amour" as the photo is of MIL and FIL on their engagement day long ago in the early 1950's.

It has just gone live over at the Inkido blog HERE

With this I've come to the end of this long post. Thank you sooo much for your visit and for your patience!

OUAS January 2013 - "Precious Moments"

When the sun woke up from its sleep early this Friday morning and turned its bright disc towards earth, a special friend took her final breath and kissed farewell to life. No more pains, no more struggle. Chasing butterflies on your meadow, smiling, happy and free at last. You will always be in our hearts.

Special memories is also the theme for my January page for Once Upon A Sketch. I made a page even if it is team A's turn in January, team B will create for February.

Up to December, we still had just the one challenge per month but we had split the team in 2 and Team A had a reveal on the 1st and Team B on the 15th. SO our team is still split in 2 and will take turns in reveals in each month. So for example half of the team will have a reveal in January and the other half in February and so on.

Theme: "The start of something new"

The new year is among us. What better way to celebrate change, renewed hope and having a positive attitude than with a brand new year? A new start...a new horizon and the start of something new! A new year is full of possibilities. So in honor of the start of 2013, we would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "The start of something new..." however you like. Whatever that sentence inspires you to scrap then go for it.

Ideas for journalling: Include the theme sentence as your title, a new job coming up or the beginning of a new job and in the past and what it meant to you, a child's new toy, a new house you are building/moving in to or one you have moved in already, a new year and what it means to you, a new attitude, the start of a new school year, a new relationship - yours, a family members, your child's, a new friendship, new wardrobe, new diet, new phone, new haircut...

Your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below. Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . You are allowed to journal in any language but please tell us where on your page we will find your journalling. Remember journalling has to be a bit more than a title, or a generic comment. Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.

Our challenges will now end on the 25th of each month to give us enough time to vote and announce the winners before the new challenges go up on the 1st of each month. Please do remember that Sydney is MANY hours ahead of most of the world and your layout MUST be linked up by midnight 26th! SO please do take note of the new due date!

Here is my take - "Precious Moments"

OUAS JAN2013 Precious Moments 800px main
Swedish Maja Design is one of the sponsors over OUAS in January. Had some extra sheets of their beautiful collection Vintage Summer Basics in my stash, so all papers used are from this collection.

 OUAS JAN2013 Precious Moments - 2
Script and chicken wire stamping.

 OUAS JAN2013 Precious Moments - 3
A gorgeous chippie butterfly from Imaginarium Design, also one of the sponsors of OUAS. On this one I used Tattered Angels mist in Black Cherry and Vintage Pink. I also misted in Patina and Midnight Blue before using chalk in Peacock and a bit of acrylic paint in gold.

 OUAS JAN2013 Precious Moments - 4
Chippie title also from Imaginarium Design. I misted it in Tattered Angels Rose Tea, Creme de Rouge, Cranberry Zing and Auburn before randomly dotting on Stickles in Diamon.

 OUAS JAN2013 Precious Moments - 5
The frame and butterfly tucked into the mini cluster are also from Imaginarium Design. Same treatment on both butterflies. The frame was misted in Tattered Angels Wheatfileds, Patina and Midnight Blue and touched-up with acrylic paint in gold before stamped gently with a script stamp.

 OUAS JAN2013 Precious Moments - 6
The circle of life and the birth of life very much stand for the start of something new for me. Seeing both these photos on the blog of the Finnish photographer that I have mentioned many times before, gave me the inspiration for my page. Delicate, sweet and filled with light.

I had not yet decided on the exact wording of my journalling although I knew what I wanted to document. Now it has got an added dimension to it, I wrote a personal letter to my friend. I put it at the back of my page. New beginnings.

Color..Stories..Inspiration (CSI) will release their case file # 55 later this Friday US EST time/midnight European time. I will be back on Wednesday, 22 Jan to share it with you. I will then also share the third page that I made for my GDT spot with Inkido.

Only a week left to the CSI blog hop!! stay tuned! Here's a sneaky peaky of the CSI # 55 palette.

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend!! kiss your loved ones and extra time and tell them how much they mean to you. Blessings!
