Zippety zip and it's Friday again! normally I would have shared the new TCR palette and my take on it today, but as Friday, 13th is my lucky day (not joking!) I have some other happy news for you.
Quite some time ago I had an email from the beautiful and lovely Marivic Clifton asking if I would be interested in being GD over at Berry71Bleu in April. Did I?! OF COURSE I DID!! With the mailman came a parcel full of the yummiest of scrappy candy, the tags that Marivic creates are almost edible - totally yummilicious!
So today I am sharing the April GD spot with sweet Sabrina Sulaiman from Malaysia. CLICK HERE FOR SABRINA'S BLOG
Here is also the link to the Berry71Bleu blog with the announcement: BERRY71BLEU
The first page I made is called "Nana", that's DH's paternal grandmother called Greta. The photo was taken sometime in the late 1930's.
The second page is called "An X-ordinary Day", the photo is of MIL and DH last summer. The papers are from Swedish Maja Design.
The third page is called "Our Nook". It is based on B71B's April challenge hosted by their sweet DT member Bellaidea aka Agnieszka. I have also a mini-mini tut on how I made the page on the B71B blog.
The beautiful chippie lamppost has travelled all the way from South Africa - hugs to you Helen Tilbury for sending it to me along with oodles of other scrappy yumminess!
Now I'm off to eat Friday dinner, today we've been honoured by Mama Thai's cooking from her little place around the block. The queue is always long, which means her food is top rate. Bon apétit and a glorious weekend to us all!

ReplyDeleteHello my friend... so nice of you to sneak into my shop. Thank you. I must say WOW... triple WOW stunningly gorgeous detailed pages. I'm just taking a break from moping the floors and wanted to pop in here and say a BIG HELLO cause i know it's been some time since i visited you. But in saying that you are always in my thoughts! All is great here at home. DH finally took long service leave so that we can take a look at what we really want to do. For the last 12 years he has work away from home and i pretty much was left here by myself with the girls. It has been OK but you know when you need to make changes in your life because you want so much more. the girls are growing fast, holly turned 10 on the 12th it was a special day. So DH has had 5 months off work and starts back a totally new job and will be home everyday and won't work weekends. YAY means this little family will be happier that he's here so much more! Anyway 5things are bright this side of the world!!! Hope you and your family are all well. keep up the totally fabulous scrapping and I will be by alot more. thanks for the chat! lol

Why wouldn't she ask you? You have used her pieces just beautifully. Your layers, punching, florals, details....always stunning. And I would love to come and have a cup of tea with you in Your Nook. It looks so beautiful and inviting.
ReplyDeleteEila! These are just the most gorgeous projects - absolutely LOVE them all - hard to choose a favourite but I do love the punchiness of the first! Oh my you have used Marivic's tags to absolute perfection!! And done wonders with the lamp- post - mwah!! I am sure she is nothing short of DELIGHTED with your efforts and your photos look particularly crisp & clear - maybe as summer is on it's way to you?! That top chippie piece is totally yummilicious as is the one in the second layout too actually....wow! Are those Dusty Attic? If so where can I get them online, they seem notoriously difficult for me to find...Your challenge layout is just excellent and if that is actually your little Nook it looks totally lush & I second Jas & would like a tea invitation too :)

ReplyDeleteHi Eila,
ReplyDeletePls. forgive me for not visiting sooner. You know the reason...but I won't miss this opportunity to thank you for doing such a magnificent job on your projects for b7b. Truly amazing work! I've enjoyed looking through the photos you sent me.
Thank you again...i appreciate all the hard work you put into this.
Will email you today..i promise. I hope you're enjoying a beautiful spring weather in your lovely little nook.
Love, Marivic
These are just fabulous! Love all of them and what you've done with the tags!
ReplyDeletewaouh... what a fabuous work!!!
Love all of this beauty here Eila. As always, your designs are always so full of goodies, the eye darts around taking it all in & as Heather said you have such a flair with words. It is always a pleasure to stop by. Cheers Di xo
ReplyDeletePS Congrats on being Guest DT
