Prima July BAP and Scrap Around The World July challenge

Wednesday! zippety zip 3 days into my first working week and things are still at a leisurely pace in the office.

July is almost at its end so I was just about in time to submit my take on the Prima July BAP. No beating around the bush about it, I found the sketch rather challenging but what the heck.

2014 July BAP Sketch KasiaK

I am also submitting my page to Scrap Around The World (SATW) and their July challenge. The moodboard by Tusia Lech is so so very pretty;

I was inspired by the mannequin the mirror in the top left square. Together with the red posy it jogged my memory about a cute chipboard piece from Prima's Divine collection. The quote made me think of a particular photo of a special young lady blazing off her radiant smile, and the fuzzy balloon bit and starlit skies inspired me to use a floral stamp and bling.

So once again I have dug into my stash of all sorts and came up with this;

This page is 100% Prima, but as I have used stuff from my
box of loose products, I unfortunately don't
have the product numbers at hand.

Thank you ever so much for taking the time to come by!

Catching up slowly in all places.
My next blog post will be on 4 August.

Prima PPP July 2014 and OUAS July challenge - "The 5 Musketeers"

Howdy hi!

The last days of my summer hols and weather forecast shows nothing but a big sun and a whopping +30C and more. No rain in sight so I pulled down the blinds and put the fan at full blast when I created the page I am sharing with you today.

I am entering it both for OUAS' July challenge as well as the Prima July PPP.

First the OUAS sketch with journalling theme "numbers";

and then the Prima PPP ;

Primapicksjuly

Here's my take - "The 5 Musketeers";

The journalling is at the back of the page,
it is kind of private.
It tells the story about a family,
and the importance of love
when home is away from home.

The layout is 100%, but as I have used bits and
pieces without their packaging found
in my stash during my recent de-stashing,
I unfortunately haven't got the different item numbers
at hand .

 Papers are Sea Shore, Something Blue and Delight.
Chipboard is Delight.
Flowers are both odd ones loose from
a box, and Stationer's Desk.

Thank you so much for coming by! I will
soon be back at the computer making visits!

Till then toodeloo! xoxo Eila

Cards galore

Heeeelloo!

Lazy days of July - aaaahhh! enjoying my hols in blissful slow motion. Have slept, taken naps and slept some more. Feeling how the energy is coming back day by day.

Thanks for popping by despite your own busy schedules and lives! This will be a short post as text regards, letting the photos speak for themselves.

I started on my annual de-stashing the other day. So much that I had forgotten about hidden in the piles. Mercilessly I chucked 10 kg (20 pounds) of paper, that is a pile measuring almost a meter (about a yard). Starting to get some order now.

Today I'm sharing 5 more cards and a gift box.

The first card and box were sent to Canada to a beautiful, kind and generous lady with a big and loving heart! She had a very special birthday on 3 July.

This one is based on papers from Teresa Collins and Ruby Rock-It.
The lace/sateen bloom was bought from Etsy.

 And the gift box that was sent together with the card;

The box is also based on papers from Teresa Collins and Ruby Rock-It.
The fussy-cut cluster if from a Glitz paper.
All flowers are Prima.

Thank you so much Helen Tilbury for sending me the
beautiful chippy clock!

Another card, this time for a young man who likes fishing;

This card is based on papers from Pink Paislee Nantucket.

Then comes a card for a young lady, based on Glitz and My Mind's Eye.

And lastly, a trio of butterfly-themed cards based on Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris;

Card 1

Card 2

Card 3

Et voilà!

Have a wonderful week my lovelies!

Meeting Greta

Hello hello!

It's the last day of work before the summer hols. Cannot wait to sit on our balcony this evening with a glass of chilled rosé in my hand and the tea lights lit having 3 weeks with time of my own to enjoy and no alarm clock ringing at 05.30 a.m.

Today I thought I'd share a page I made recently just for fun. I think Prima's Time Traveler's collection is so very beautiful with its muted, dusty soft colours. Perfect for scrapping vintage photos but I had something else in mind when I set out to create.

My friend J has a most adorable little pug puppy called Greta. Her wrinkled-up face and big eyes makes me want to give her a smooch. She is quite a character, little Greta!

So here it is;

This photo makes me giggle, just look at Greta's face! ;)
Couldn't help adding the chippie specs.

 The frame was cut out from the Priceless Moments paper
and mountedon foam tape to add height, and then
5-6 layers of punched and fussy-cut details were
tucked in under it around the whole page.

More summer celebration

Hello hello!

Thank you so much to all of you who you have hopped along with Scrap365 Magazine and Quirky Kits! The draw for a winner will be made at 09.00 a.m. GMT on 4 July so there is still time to join in.

Start HERE!

On this rainy first day of July I have 4 more days to go at work before I'll kick off my court shoes and slip into baggy, comfy shorts forgetting all about make-up.

A couple of blog posts ago I mentioned that the month of June was full of celebrations and I had some more cards and perhaps a gift box or two to share with you.

Here's first a card;

 Papers used are a mix of Crate The Pier and Prima Anna Marie.

All flowers are of course Prima.

And the gift box that was given together with the above card;

The papers used on this one are all Crate The Pier.
Also the chipboard pieces are from the same
 collection.

A piece of net, Spanish moss and beautiful Prima resins
for a beachy accent.

Sweet and short blogpost today!

Thanks for coming by!

Toodelipip! xoxo Eila
