Blue Fern Studios April Sketch Challenge - "Exploring"

Hello new week!!

We're almost halfway through April soon! and soon I'll be having my birthday. Yup a Taurus through and through, stubborn and strong-willed, fiercefully loyal, my home-is-my-castle type of gal with a very soft spot for the little people and unloved animals out there, romance and beautiful things.

I forgot the 2nd anniversary of my blog - jeees who thought I'd be blogging 2 years ago! not me, that's for sure. So, here's to you, you, you and fantastic 2 years. Because without you guys nothing of this would have happened! so to put a bit of sparkle on the occasion, I'm giving away 3 packs of these little beauties - Prima Corine flowers;

They are among the very very last left in the whole wide world! and Leslie Kammerdiener snatched the whole remaining batch for C'est Magnifique's shop. When they're gone, they're truly gone for ever!

All you have to do is to leave a comment on my NEXT blogpost and one randomly drawn person will have a chance of winning all 3 packs! It goes without saying that any international participant is welcome.

Introducing: Blue Fern Studios Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Blue Fern Studios are kicking off a new monthly sketch challenge as of April!

If you love the BFS chipboard designs, then you are certain to love the sketches - they are designed by the very same wonderfully talented Michele Singh! Check out the first sketch
HERE;

Here's also some inspiration from some of the BFS design team members, closies of my page at the end of this post :

Eila Sandberg - that's me

As you can see, there are many ways to interpret this sketch! Feel free to flip or turn it as you like, mirror it, whatever- although we of course would like to see that your project was indeed inspired by our sketch. And the rules are simple:

1. You must use at least one piece of Blue Fern Studios chipboard in your entry (any piece of your choosing). If you're wondering where to buy, see the link HERE!

2. Please do not use any other brand of chipboard.

3. Upload your projects using the Inlinkz tool on the Blue Fern Studios blog HERE
by midnight EST on 30 April 2013.

That's it! And for your efforts, one randomly drawn winner will  receive this fabulous arrangement of Blue Fern Studios chipboard:

And now to the close-ups of my page;

The predominant feature of the sketch is the beautiful BFS ornate Floral Clock (074684)

Floral Clock
I also cut a BFS Royal Border - Large (074615) in half and used it across the clock and under the cluster.

 Royal Border - Large

I've used white and gold acrylic paint, pink and apricot mists, cream embossing powder and Glimmer Glaze in Coconut Shell on the clock.

In the title I used the word JOY from the BFS word set Good Vibes (074899).

All papers used are from Swedish Maja Design's collection Vintage Summer Basics.

Good Vibes

Dotted and floral fabric washi tape from Etsy, TH filmstrip and script washi tape, and a bling swirl from Zva Creative.

Lumpy and bumpy as my pages often turn out.

It's my turn to share my April pages over at Blue Fern Studios on 11 April, so that's when I'll be back to share the two first ones with you. The third page will be shared a bit later in the same week.

Your comments truly make my day and I read them several times over, sending you cyber hugs and thanks!!
