Hello hello!
So annoying that it was such a dark day yesterday. The light just disappeared so I never had a chance to photograph the layout I had created for the SATW January challenge before it got completely dark.
Even if I missed the deadline, I thought I'd share the page with you. First the mood board.
I was inspired by the shabbiness of the whole moodboard.
The wooden planks in the bottom left photo, the washed out colours,
the bands around the flower pot with the flaking bits almost
like patterns, the piece of lace trim hanging from the chain
holding the pocket watch and chubby pale pink roses
of course.
All the ingredients I love!
And here is my take on it - "That Smile"
As with all soft colours, they don't photograph well at all.
I went for a dusty pale pink, white, gray, mauve and
gray-blue colour palette.
Papers used are counting from bottom and up Prima
Stationer's Desk, Lyrique and Delight
collections.
A couple of snippets from a Tilda paper
pack from last year (pink ditsy and blue polka dot).
I die-cut larger snowflakes from vellum and layered with fussy-cut
blooms and die-cut itty bitty snowflakes.
Loose resins, chibboard, flowers, leaves, alphas,
lace and other bits and bobs from
my Prima stash.
Color Bloom Sprays used in Pearl White, Candy Cotton,
Storm Cloud and Pressed Petal.
Prima Art Sugar in white and Prima mica flakes in Frosted
to add shimmer and this page really DOES shimmer
IRL!
Et voilà!
Thank you so much for taking the time
to come by, I really appreciate it.
Cheerio! xoxo Eila
