Quirky Kits have a choice of three kits - Main, Lite and Embellishment; all of which are delivered bi-monthly. Check out their kits HERE
Leonora and her team have kindly given us the beautiful 'It's My Party' Main Kit to give away as a prize.
The
DT have all been playing with one or more of the current Quirky Kits to
show you just how versatile they are; and how they suit any style of
scrapping!
So let's get started. First off we were given a sketch to use as a jumping off point.
So let's get started. First off we were given a sketch to use as a jumping off point.
Sometimes I have beautiful products and am itching to create something with them, but I have no clue where to start. My head is totally blank for ideas.
That's when I find using sketches a really good way of kick-starting the creative process. Rotating the sketch different ways also feeds my mojo as it sees elements from different angles. Very often the finished result has little to do with the original sketch, but the main thing is that I was inspired.
A really wonderful sketch can also inspire me to start digging for products because I see certain shapes and/or elements that spark my imagination.
I played with the Lite, Main and Embellishment kits mixing different papers and embellies from all of them. All flowers are from my stash.
I used one of the sketches that come with the kits as starting point for my first layout - "Pucker Up":
This is sooo different to my normal layered style,
but going CAS and using only one single flower
albeit a really chunky one, was great fun.

With an adorable photo like this one, my choice of papers
was an easy one. I obviously used one photo instead of 4
smaller ones.
Sweet sweet acetate butterflies and sugar dots on soft
mist splatters.
My faves are the Teresa Collins floral and heart papers - LOVE!
Got to adore the vellum with teal sparkly polka dots!

This page came together in a wink.
Pure eye candy for me, but I am biased of course.
Just love the lime green, peach and rosy pinkish reds.
This photo says it all. The joy of being children, the joy
of running, the joy of giggling and just having so much fun!
My kind of cluster; flowers, fussy-cutting, and sweet embellies.
