Prima March PPP - "Sorla's Meadow"

Hello Saturday!

And WHAT a beautiful day it is! the snow that came a couple of days ago, again, has vanished and the spring blooms have re-opened their pretty petals.

Mrs Mojo woke me up the other night insisting on some creativity. If I may add, I am a very sound sleeper not to be woken by earthquakes before the alarm rings. The finished result of this sudden energy surge is my take on the Prima March PPP.

Here's first the inspo photo;

2014 March ppp

And then my take, a 30 cm x 30 cm (12 x 12 inches) canvas. Its original title in Swedish - "Sorlas äng" translates into "Sorla's Meadow".

It goes to a little girl who loves her puppies, one of them is Sorla. She dreams up wonderful fairy tale stories about the adventures of her little friends. The canvas is about a beautiful summers day with Sorla running on the meadow, chasing butterflies and having fun. If you look carefully you might just catch a glimpse of her floppy ears in the grass!

Design Team Mid Month Reveal March - close-ups of my canvas panel "L-O-V-E"

Hello there!

When I pulled up the blinds yesterday morning, the whole world outside was covered in .. snow! that's spring for you! Today it's almost gone and happy am I.

Feels so nice to look at the beautiful March moodboard over at Scrap Around The World with its pink blossoms and flounces of pink tulle. D-e-l-i-g-h-t-f-u-l!

Jogging your memory with the moodboard before I share the closies of my 4 canvas panels. As always with soft colours, they really don't photograph well at all. IRL the pink is more of a soft peachy-rosey tone.

And here are all 4 panels put together;

Each panel measures 20 cm x 20 cm or 8 x 8 inches,
which makes the whole thing
40 cm x 40 cm or 16 x 16 inches large.

They have been designed so that they can be
hung either horizontally or vertically as well.

Spring tags

Hi there!

Spring is continuing to wow me with its birdsong and spring flowers peeking up. It rained today, the kind of rain that has big droplets and showers the world mildly. Not the autumn gusts that drench you to the bone.

As I mentioned a couple of blogposts earlier, many family members and friends have their birthdays in the spring so I make cards and tags every week.

Thought I'd share the two latest ones with you. First one that isn't for a birthday girl, but it is making its way down to France together with some prize goodies as I write this blog post.

The papers on this one are from Prima Delight, Prima
Stationer's Desk and Prima Something Blue.
D-E-L-I-S-H collections all of them!

As you all know, I love my Prima blooms.
These are from my stash.
New Prima lace trim rondelles peeking out under the cluster.

 A bit of dimension.

And from the other side.

***
Then a fresh spring tag for a sweet birthday girl.

Once again I've used Prima papers, these are also from the
Delight, Princess and Something Blue collections.

A mix of old and new blooms.
The clock face paper clip is from Prima Princess.

The new Prima resin butterflies are super cute.

Adore the new lace trims! one in the shape of a flower
peeks out under the cluster.

Et voilà!

I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Thanks for your visit!

Hello beautiful peeps!

It's Saturday and SPRING has come to Stockholm! yay yay yay!!

Yesterday the postie brought me this - the April/May issue of the Scrap365 magazine.

The entire page 77 is my first ever published layout
in a "paper" magazine!

WOOT! am I happy or what!!! *doing the crazy dance*

Here's a sneaky from it

The PaperHaus Magazine will release its Spring issue on 1 April,
so stay tuned for more sneakies of publications!

With the postie also came a parcel from my dear friend
Elena Olinevich in Belarus.
She is not only beautiful, incredibly talented, and
a fantastic Prima educator.
She is also sweet, kind and very generous.

Just look what she sent me!

A million times THANK YOU Elena!!
Mwah!

I really am so sorry that I have so little time to
come for a visit at the moment,
but all my time is spent on working on projects behind the scenes.

I am also working on a portfolio of canvases
for an art gallery exhibition in Stockholm
later in May. Very exciting indeed!

Take care! see you later in the week if you have the time.

A card and gift box for a cool chick

Hello there and welcome to a new week!

March is a month of many birthdays, first up is a cool chick who likes pretty things with an edge. So when I made the gift box for the bracelet she got as pressie, I went a bit grungier than I normally do. I also made a card.

First the giftbox;

The box is covered in one of the new papers from the Prima Princess collection.

An old large Prima flower from my stash, misted and
painted in different
browns, greens, pinks and a bit of gold.

I had some unused fussy cut flowers from a KaiserCraft
paper laying on my desk.
Think they are from the Tea Party collection.

A couple of super old Maya Road leaf stick pins,
Prima jewels and some lace that I misted and
painted to match the flower.

And then the card.

When I came to the card I couldn't help myself,
had to go a bit girlie with the fussy cutting.

Here I used the same paper as on the box together
with stash-raided stuff.
A bit of subtle stamping in soft peachy pink.

And that's all for today!

Thank ever so much for taking the time to come for a visit!

Toodelipip! xoxo Eila
