Prima November PPP - "Autumn Birds"

Happy Friday!

The week is nearing its end and it's 1 December on Sunday, my gosh!

Also my Prima November PPP was made over a week ago but as I mentioned in my previous post, it gets dark at 3 p.m. over here so everything that I want to photograph, has to be taken to the office and photographed during my lunch break.

So here it, my "Autumn Birds". More stash-raided papers and products on this one. Letting the photos speak for themselves.

Wishing you a really wonderful weekend wherever on
good Mother Earth your are spending it!

I will be back on Sunday, 1 December with
the sizzling hot release of the PaperHaus winter magazine.
I promise you it's absolutely choc-a-bloc with stunning inspiration!

Till then, ta ta!

Prima November BAP - "Love"

Hello week - hello you!

I have had my page for the Prima November BAP ready for over a week but as it gets dark here around 3 p.m. I have to bring anything that I want to photograph to the office and do it during my lunch break.

Here's the original sketch;

I flipped it once to the left like this;

and my take on it;

I continued my stash raiding and here I am using some of the very last papers/scraps that I have left of the Delight collection.

The wood icon titles were chalked with Ingvild Bolme's Chalk Edger in Attic Dust. Then touched-up with Stickles in Diamond and then lastly in Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Spun Sugar for a sparkling effect.

The stars were made with a Prima mask and Shimmerz Texturez in Tidy Widy.

The pinkish subtle misting is TA in Silk.

The subtle background misting was made with TA Wheatfields, Gold, Chalkboard in Sandy Beach and Chalk, and with Mr Huey's Opaque White.

This peach star came in the jar with the peach poinsettias that I used on my Christmas tag-cards.

Loose flowers, swirls, crystals, pearls, resins, and metal trinkets from my stash. All Prima of course.

There we are, a romantic page for the November BAP!

 Thank you ever so much for taking the time to come for a visit!

Count-down to Christmas has started - part 3

Hi there!

Today I am sharing the last 2 tag-cards in a batch of 6 in total. As I've mentioned previously, all credit to über talented Cari Fennel for the original designs.

I am making a huge effort of using up stuff from my stash at the moment, finding new things each time I start rummaging in a box. Oops!

With just over a month to Christmas, things are starting to increase even more in intensity both at work and privately. Yesterday I sent out 2800 (yes - twothousandeighthundred) personal e-mail invitations to a Christmas party I am part of organizing. When the replies started coming in, my computer just went beserk for many hours. Long gone are the days when I sent out paper invitations with handwritten envelopes ha ha!

And with this I have shared all 6 tag-cards that I made.

Count-down to Christmas has started - part 2

Hello hello!

Work, work and no time for creative me-time at the moment but hey, that's what we all struggle with from time to time.

So I'm continuing my Christmas count-down with 2 more tag-cards and all credit to Cari Fennell for her design inspiration! Goodness how much is hidden in my stash but as Finnabair said at one of her workshops - I work with what is on my desk and what I cannot see, doesn't exist.

When it comes to cards, I always leave out sentiments from the cover, I write them on the inside instead thus getting a greater flexibility. The first of the below cards could very well be used as a birthday card for someone who has her/his birthday in the winter for instance.

Count-down to Christmas has started

Yup! 45 days to Christmas and count-down has begun!

Have spent all my free time making Chistmas cards for a charity bazaar that took place yesterday. Am happy to say all of the cards were sold! I had some designs which I duplicated with a couple of odd ones thrown in as well.

*Hint hint* something special happens on 1 December and I will share some projects on 6 December.

Anyhow, while we're on the subject of Christmas I though I'd share the first 2 of 6 in total tag-cards that I've also made recently. (A tag-card is a tag mounted on a card.)

It started way back in early October when I saw Cari Fennell on Prima Live creating glorius bling tags and I fell in love with the peach coloured poinsettias that she used. I looked near and far for weeks before I finally found them in Europe. They are every bit as DIVINE as I had imagined!

I didn't have the stuff that she used so I went stash-raiding and came up with my own version of her tags. So all the credit to Cari, these are not my own original designs even if I piled on stuff from my stash.

Here they are, the first 2 cards;

Once Upon A .. Sketch November challenge - close-ups of my page "Memories"

Hi ya!

Hope you are all good out there! Work has taken off att Mach 3 in the office. The month or so before Christmas is always manic as I am sure it is for us all.

My DT term with OUAS is nearing its end. The December challenge will be my last one. Cannot believe how fast time has flown by even with the extended term due to Nadia having baby Sofia!

But first the November sketch and close-ups of my November page.

Journalling Theme: "My Happy Place"

This time my journalling is this verse from a poem that I found on internet. It describes exactly what my happy place is about - my memories.

Apart from the obvious physical happy places like home, my fave spot by the sea, my fave spot at sunset and many many more, my memories take me to many places and many moments that I can enjoy over and over again irrespective of when they actually happened the first time. Years are of no consequence when it comes to memories.

Letting the photos speak for themselves again. It was such a joy to create this page with all the ingredients that make me hum; fussy cutting, flowers, a dash of mist, a splash of gold and just pretty stuff. Hope you like it too.

Once Upon A .. Sketch November challenge - my second last page

November Challenge!!!!

Time for another fantastic sketch and journalling theme over at Once Upon A ... Sketch!

Journalling Theme: "My Happy Place"

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like.
It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need
to be part of your title or journalling.
But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch
below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine)

Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence,
or generic writing such as date/place etc.
It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long.
Remember, hidden journalling
(under a photo/tag or behind your page)
is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post
where your journalling is!
